The Clark County Highway Department is responsible for paving, repair, striping and related activities. The Highway Department may be called upon to remove debris, trees or other obstructions. The Highway Department is also responsible for county roadside ditches and soils, as well as cleaning inlets and dry wells. During the winter, the department is responsible for snow removal and plowing. The Clark County Highway Department also makes, installs and maintains signs.
The Transportation Department is administered by an appointed county engineer and is broken down into administrative, engineering, and maintenance functional areas. While the functional areas provide distinct services; collaboration and coordination throughout the department, with other county departments and external agencies is standard operating procedure in service delivery.
Stacy Road/County 403 Intersection Improvements
Public Meeting Notice - Tuesday, June 13, 2023
The Clark County Commissioners will hold a public information meeting for a proposed intersection improvement located at CR 403 and Stacy Road in the City of Charlestown, Clark County, Indiana. The project involves construction of a single lane roundabout. The meeting will be held at the Clark County Government Center, Room 103, 300 Corporate Drive, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130, at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
